Edith continued to cling to her pillow. "I-I-I-" she stuttered. It was rare that Edith was at a lose for words, but she had obviously never been in the sort of situation before.
"But-but, Eward said you were dead." She remembered the night very well, how emotionless Eward had been when he informed Abigail and her of the fate of her brother and father's ship. "You drowned," she informed Lysander, as if he was doing something wrong by being alive now.
"You're dead," Edith said softly, her eyes suddenly filling with tears.
