"How kind of you," Jeanne said in response to the offer as she entered the shop and took a seat by the window. Smiling as she ordered, she turned back to the man in her company and said, "It shouldn't be hard for a man of your looks and nature to find a wife, if all else fails you could buy an Irish girl."
Accepting her tea from the waiter, she drank it generously though it was perhaps not the most suitable drink for the weather.
