A stroll was healthy for the constitution and an activity it was hard to find fault with. Besides, the park was only a few turns and streets from the townhouse so any chance of going unseen by servants or particular friends of the family remained an unlikely one.
Aimé enjoyed his daily strolls. Escaping from the suffocating house and the dullness of the everyday routine for a while did him good. He found himself feel much brighter after a walk, and besides, it was such a good way to meet interesting people he might otherwise not be introduced to.
He rounded a turn in the path and came across a young woman picking flowers. Not one to be shy of an improper introduction he bent at her side, looking down at the colourful plants she was busy collecting.
“Allow me to help, Mademoiselle, otherwise you might dirty your dress and it is a cruel task to ask servants to remove dirt from pale blue silk without ruining the gown.”
