"Oh, the Ambassador's son!" Edith said once it all clicked together in her head. There were very few men in London that she hadn't heard of in one way or another. Of course, she was now wondering if this was going to turn into some boring lecture about politics and the troubles in France. Personally, she could have cared less about what was happening over there.
"Yes, of course," she said with a nod as she glanced to the empty spot beside her on the bench. "Are you enjoying London? I hope you do not think all English women to be as emotional as me," she said. "I assure you this all extremely out of character for me," she promised honestly. It was rare Edith showed any emotion, let alone cried.
