"I imagine your wife to be spoiled with your thoughtful compliments," Edith said with a smile.
"I must admit that I know even less about children than I know about dogs," she said simply. "But I can imagine how difficult it must be for one to raise dogs, however you do make it look rather easy." She glanced back down to the dogs again, silently debating with herself if she thought them to be cute or not.
"I hope to be able to look out for dear Eward for as long as he allows me," she admitted. "However, I fear he might be growing tired of my advice and I suspect it won't be long before he starts to act rebellious to the care Abigail and I try to provide him."
