"You should know that." Percy said. "It's in my blood as well, just something that you have to accept. It's a rather fun handicap to have."
His hand toyed with Penny's hair, listening to her words. Was he honestly happy? HELL no. But would she know it? HELL NO. Well she had the idea but now was one of those moments to just shut up and take the sucker punch that was given to you. How could his willie forsaken him!?
"Of course I would stick through this with you... divorces are simply too expensive. KIDDING!"
He watched as Penny pulled back and announce that she was hungry and was going to dress. And he nodded, smiling at the kiss.
"I'll be waiting." And she got ready. He sat back in the chair, hands coming up to cup his face. He could do this. Well... Penny could do it, he could be there for moral support. Yes he came from a big family but that was one of the main reason he wanted to keep this family SMALL, as in two. No strangers!
But that was his luck, his life. Work hard, get shat on. What was next? Going to live in a shack surrounded by various types of hillbillies? Who knew the endless possibilities the future held.
When Penny was ready and came back downstairs, he stood up, a smile still on his face. Mercy his face ached from it. Both hands slid around her waist and he kissed her lips.
"Come on..." He grabbed her hand. "I suppose we should enjoy this time. The one time the kid will be free any place we go."
