Theodore thought Pansy's answer was honest enough, he wouldn't deny her of the life she wanted to live, just as he wouldn't expect her to deny him of what he truly wanted in life, which even still was relatively unknown to even him.
Of course, his chest stinged slightly from the slap she had placed across it, even moments after she did it. But Theodore definitely found a strong woman more appealing than that of weak one. He liked a woman who knew what she wanted and wouldn't settle for less, Pansy was definitely that kind of female. Their parents' couldn't have picked better matches for them than eachother and even if neither said so, they had both thought it at one time or another, Theodore was sure of that much.
"It's customary for the males in my family to travel the entire world after completion. Now, to my knowledge, it's always been merely the male on his own, before all other arrangements, but I don't see why it would matter if I took you along considering we are expected to be married, it's only proper that you accompany me on my ventures. We can see the rest of the world and what it offers together then."
The petty nonsense definitely meant political and although Theodore had always tried to stay out of the political affairs that embraced the world around them, he had always found himself getting sucked back in, perhaps due to the fact that his father was a known Death Eater and still to this day was. Theodore was expected to go that same route, pledging allegance and loyalty to the dark lord which was now Bellatrix Lestrange. Theodore never paid serious mind to these political discussions and expectations with his father as he simply just did not know what he wanted after Hogwarts. All he knew was he'd never have to worry about finances because he'd always be wealthy and he didn't have to worry about finding a companion as his parents had already chosen for him and he didn't oblige, at least not all of the time.
"My dear mournful widow, you will live as you wish, I just so happen to know that already. Perhaps divination isn't a crock."
After a moment of faux seriousness he added, "But we both know it is."
