There were a lot of things that Hoshi could expect over the course of her time on Enterprise, being transported to the future to a different future enterprise was not something she was expected. Things were already crazy enough as they were in her time, and now she was being told people had to read about her when they went to Starfleet Academy. She hoped getting kicked out wasn't part of the reading.

After leaving medical, Hoshi couldn't help herself as she explored to the ship. It was huge, not that Enterprise was small, it was just this felt so much bigger, the technology was similar but different. The PADD was updated, everything, everything was shiny and still had that new feeling to it. Okay, so for Hoshi it all felt shiny and new.

She'd introduced herself, and so far a few people had talked to her. She hadn't made a great impression with the puns question, but that was probably because she was still a little overwhelmed with the whole situation.

Hoshi made her way down to Deck 5 where someone she'd passed had told her there was a lounge. As she walked in, she froze. "Woah!" She breathed out as her eyes got wide. "This is..." She stopped speaking as she walked in further taking the first seat at an open table to steady herself more than anything else.

Glancing up, Hoshi gave a hesitant smile. "Oh," she said to the fact her home was to become a museum. She waved an arm at the open seat in an offering. "You know, I'm kind of used to watching anyone somewhat tall bending down a lot more." It was the first thing that came to mind. "This is huge, and wait? Most ships named Enterprise perish? I have to admit, I haven't read the history yet, I'm not sure I want to know what becomes of me."

"That one I'll keep to myself," Jadzia replied. She took a seat and smiled, like she was the kind of person that spent a lot of time smiling. "Since he timelines have diverged, I have no problem talking about the ships at least. One self-destruct to avoid capture, a second lost in the outer reaches of space, a third destroyed defending a Klingon colony from Romulans. Thanks to that sacrifice, it kickstarted decades of friendship between us and the Klingon Empire. My husband served on the second most recent, lost to a sneak attack while trying to save a solar system from destruction. The E was still intact when I was brought here."

And the predecessor to this version of the A had been lost too. Also to a sneak attack.

"That is so weird to hear," she said full of awe. "I mean, I knew there would be ships afterward, it's just..." she stopped. "Thank you, for the drink, what is it?" Hoshi knew her manners were all over the place. Space wasn't the problem this time, the whole future thing and not going back and different timelines part was a little more freaky.

"I'm sure it must be." She nodded at the drink. "Tygarian Sunset. Kind of sweet with a hint of sour."

Trying the drink she smiled. "It's not bad!" She said offered. "I still can't believe this, don't get me wrong, it's amazing, it's just," Hoshi paused. "For a linguist I can't even find the right word for it."

"Amazing, astounding, and a little..." Jadzia switched to Klingon. "Daj. Interesting. There are some other words but most of those are curse words."

But then Klingon and cursing was pretty much standard operating procedure.

"It's so much more at the same time!" Hoshi said but laughed at the switch to Klingon, "Vaj laH qar'a' jatlhqa'."

Switching back to English she added, "there are a lot of things I've decided NOT to translate to our captain."

"I have to know, which of those is your favorite?" Jadzia could think of any number of words that were not for a Captain's ears.
