Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

Each Saturday, join the Enterprise crew and your fellow travelers in the Deck Five Lounge to meet new arrivals, catch up with those you haven't seen in a few days, try a new drink, or just enjoy the spectacular view.

Natasha and Peter

It was hard to believe, that Nat had yet to explore the entire ship. Lately, she had been busy with her thoughts. But tonight, she felt it was time to explore a little more. So far she had come across the training room, and the science lab. Both of which she had ran into familiar faces. But now it seems she would come across a familiar name, with an unfamiliar face. Peter Parker.

From what she remembered, Peter was just some punk fifteen year old, Tony had involved in the fight against Steve and the others back where she was from. So to see a very grown up version of Parker had caught her a bit off guard. She wondered if this is how the others would feel if they learned Natasha was from a different timeline from them. She assumed it would be almost the same feeling. Confusion.

So after much thought, she would tell Parker to meet her at Deck 5 for a drink. Since he was old enough to drink, she saw no harm in it. Plus, she was curious as to how many missions they had done together, since Natasha had no memory of working with Peter. Wondering if that was due to her perhaps being brainwashed or having her memories altered. But than again, it could just be they were from a different timeline from each other.

As she came to sit at the bar she would be handed some blue drink. Only to kink a brow at the liquid and wait for Parker to show up.

Meet at Deck 5 for a drink, Peter's mind was racing at how cool it was to be heading to Deck 5 on the Enterprise for a Romulan Ale, because he'd be DAMNED if he wasn't going to have a Romulan Ale. It had been a dream of his to be in Star Trek since he was a child, and now he was there, and he could go to warp speed and talk to Spock and have Romulan Ale.

Approaching Deck 5, he noticed Natasha near the bar, and grinned spotting her. She looked different, but not too much so. She stood out, like usual, and he began to make his way towards her. Dressed in black t-shirt and a pair of jeans, he'd gone with casual this evening since the one thing he had to say about this ship was it was homely, and it felt comfortable being here.

It was also a bit cold, but he supposed being that deep in space would do that to you.

Marching his way towards the bar, Peter ordered the fantasy drink with glee, before then turning his gaze towards Natalia, holding a hand out towards her, "Pleasure to meet you again and for the first time, Ms. Romanova."

Natasha stood out no matter how casual she dressed, mainly because of her vibrant red hair and ocean green eyes. Once Peter sat beside her and introduced himself to her she would come to kink a brow up at him. He was completely different from what she last seen. But she was already realizing how this place worked.

"So, we worked on a mission together?" She asked with a kinked up brow as she finally took a sip of her blue drink. She thought what the hell, she had lived through a lot, literally a lot. Right now, she almost wished Logan was here to have a drink with her and have someone she knew. Still she came to smirk lightly at him.

Peter always found Natasha to be a fun person to hang out with; well, fun was not really the word he should use. She was strict, thoughtful, had a sense of humor that was so dry that Peter was convinced even Wolverine might not get annoyed. Yet she was fun, and intelligent, and when you finally got to know her (at least for him) she became something of a good friend.

He raised a brow in her direction, "A rather large one. A villain of mine had hijacked a powerful weapons array that would allow him to bake the earth alive, basically increasing global warming 800x faster than it already is. The Avengers were incapacitated, and the world was pretty much at an end. You, Silver, and I worked to convince the world governments to fight against him rather than giving into his demands, and we then became ultra fugitives and had to fight our way in and stop him."

He shrugged, taking a drink of his Romulan Ale and immediately began to cough into his arm. That stuff was not natural. At all.

"But yea, we did. I take it you still don't remember?"

"Nope, sounds pretty interesting." She replied as she came to drink her blue drink once again. "Like I said, might be from a different time line." She replied as she laughed at him coughing into his arm. "Not a drinker I take it." She replied laughing a little more this time. Already she came to brush her red hair from her face as she watched him closely.

He was handsome, but he wasn't from her timeline. Which wasn't a bad thing as she came to exhale once more. "So what else do we do in your time line?" She asked as she came to look at him struggle with his drink. Which made he smirk a little too hard.

"It was, I mean besides the whole world nearly collapsing under the power of the sun and people dying part, but still interesting," Peter shrugged, taking a drink from his ale and shook his head, "No, I can drink a bit, I just... wasn't expecting this kind of strength to an ale. It's a bit criminal to call it an 'ale' of all things."

He laughed then looked back at her, "But no, not a big drinker. It doesn't really do me much good, I can't really get drunk."

Another sip and then he thought a long moment, "We're on the Avengers together, we worked together once before when you were in a deep cover to get into Hydra as Nancy Rushman, a school teacher, but you weren't really you in that sense."

She came to look around for the moment and pulled him away from the bar, just to take a seat at a private table near the back. "Well, where I'm from I'm not part of the avengers anymore, and the others here aren't from where I'm from or you." She replied as she pointed at him for the moment. "So don't say a word." She said unsure how they would react since Nat was trying to keep everyone calm. Especially in space.

Peter blinked as he was pulled away from the bar, grabbing up his drink as he went. Spies he thought to himself. They were always so shifty. Dropping into the seat across from her, he turned up his brow and shrugged, "Hey, Nat, listen. I don't think anyone's going to care if you were a spy. We're all brought here a bit by accident it would seem, so it would be really weird if you were here on mission having gotten here on accident. That said, don't worry, I don't know you, I know the other you, and so I have nothing really to share anyway."

He eyed her a moment, keeping his brow up, and took another sip of his drink.

She came to rub her eyes for a moment. "That's not what i mean.. In my time line, Steve and Tony nearly killed each other in a fight. Do you really want that to happen here...With Banner on the ship..." She replied as she came to watch him closely. It wasn't so much Tony and Steve, but more so Banner getting angry and ripping this place apart.

"I get we're all from different points in live, but I'd rather keep the peace between that group since this is a second chance to make sure a war doesn't happen between Tony and Steve."

Peter blinked and laughed, probably shouldn't have, but he did and he shook his head a bit, "Wow, timelines really don't change do they? Happened in my timeline too, though Banner wasn't involved. He came later. Regardless, it was pretty bad, really bad in fact. A lot of good heroes suffered in that war."

He thought a moment and then nodded, "I'll just keep all talks about Avengers to my timeline, and that'll be that? I mean, if they ask. I'm not about to go out and shout to the corridors I'm part of the Avengers. Hell, I turned them down like three times before I finally joined many years later."

That is what Nat was worried about. if it happened in her time line, and in his.. Then it was meant to happen. "Bruce wasn't in the war either. Dont know what the future holds now." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. When he mentioned that he had turned down the avengers, Nat laughed a bit. Only to take another sip of her drink.

"So, Peter from a different timeline, how long have you been here?" She asked as she brushed her red hair from her face and came to glance at the other people not far from them enjoying their drinks and conversations.

"Well, nothing's necessarily set in stone. I think this can be mitigated and moved about, they're both smart men and here we don't have any circumstances for which they need to fight; there's no registration, no push for identities to be revealed, none of that. We're all in the same boat here, and that means those issues now get put on the back burner."

"Here? On the ship? I only just arrived about a month ago, maybe less. Time's hard to keep track of in space, but yea I haven't been here too long. How about you?"

She came to nod her head for the moment. "I've been here a few days. " She added as she came to place her now empty drink off to the side and put her attention back on Peter. "So, you seem to be very excited to be here." She replied lightly as she came to watch him for the moment.

"aside trying to jump in zero gravity, what is there to do here? Aside train an go to the science labs." She added as she smiled thinking of Bruce for the moment. Thinking she was going to have to go see him soon.

"I am, I mean it's Star Trek, right? Like, this is supposed to be fake but now it's totally real, I'm totally here, and I usually wear a red shirt. Oh man that's not going to bold well. Well, regardless, I get to play around in labs and what not."

Shaking his head at the thought of it, smirking, before then looking up at her, "There's probably a holodeck. Maybe, not sure... that didn't arrive on screen until TNG, so I don't know if they actually ever had one. But there's plenty to do. This ship is massive, it has movies and libraries, it'll have game rooms and weight rooms and pools, so on and so forth, it's basically a city in space."

He then grinned, "And of course meeting interesting and wonderful people."
