Welcome to the Hawaiian Luau!

All characters who joined the Hawaiian Islands excursion are invited to a traditional luau and pig roast in honor of the travelers. Enjoy drinks, dinner, hula, live music, a private beach, and each other.

OOC Information

This is an in-character opportunity to write short threads with other players. This is a great opportunity to thread short, random interactions between characters.

Mary sat down next to her friend and roommate, a smile on her face. After a few days of trying more modern clothing for her various activities on the island, she was once again dressed in something more appropriate to the time period she hailed from. It was a white linen day dress with a straw cloche - not something she would normally wear at night, but the island was incredibly casual.

"Having fun?" she asked, sipping from her pina colada. Mary definitely had a glow to her, and not only because she had gotten some sun. She was happy.

	Mary blushed and looked down at her drink. "Yes, I am. It's been a lovely trip." Jim was off with Bones, who Mary agreed needed to take a break, so she was happy to let them be. She and Jim had spent a good bit of time together over the past few days, and she didn't want to monopolize him. Honestly though, this was the happiest she had felt in a long time. Mary playfully rolled her eyes, though she was still grinning. "I've seen quite a lot of it, thank you. It's a beautiful place. I've never seen anything like it before." This must truly have been what paradise looked like. She felt lucky to get to experience it, even if it was a bit hot for her tastes. Living here full time would probably not be enjoyable for her.

"Nothing sordid other than kissing yet," she said, "though we are making progress, I suppose." Mary was ready to be intimate with Jim, when the moment was right.

Every planet had something special about it. Jadzia could name a few that were as beautiful, but there was a charm to Hawaii that was hard to compare. Maybe it was the culture of the islands. "Did you know they became independent after the third world war? I think they've done quite well for themselves."

Taking a sip of her drink, Jadzia could only grin wider. "I'm very happy for you. You're practically glowing."

	The grin was ridiculous, and Jadzia loved it. She'd always been the kind of person who got a little buzz when other were happy. "Mm. A little shopping. A lot of exploring. I went hiking up to the volcano yesterday, that was a lot of fun." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Did you?" Mary asked, her eyes widening. "What was that like? I suppose it's safe, right?" She presumed that there wouldn't be hikes up into it if it wasn't. 	"Oh it's safe, relatively. With antigrav technology and forcefields you can get really close. Sometimes I imagine what it was like a few centuries ago. 	"Dig your toes in the sand and enjoy it while you can." Jadzia had to agree with that. Even though she loved space and space ships and stations, there was something about non-holographic sand in one's toes that just couldn't be replicated. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Absolutely. It will be hard for me to get back on the ship after so much time being on Earth." She often found it cold and sterile. While Hawaii wasn't exactly her preferred climate, at least the atmosphere wasn't manufactured. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Well I hope they've been running steadily without you," Mary said before taking a sip of her drink. "I'm sure you'll be happy to go back and check on them."
