Welcome to the Hawaiian Luau!

All characters who joined the Hawaiian Islands excursion are invited to a traditional luau and pig roast in honor of the travelers. Enjoy drinks, dinner, hula, live music, a private beach, and each other.

(still healing from wrist surgery so please be patient with my slowness!)

It's been along time since Clarke had certain creature comforts and tonight she was taking advantage. A dress, jewelry, even her light makeup was leagues different from the style she'd worn on the ground in her own time. It felt good to make a change. She'd even gotten her hair cut, a symbol of the new beginning she was making here.

She sat with some kind of fruity drink in front of her, smiling as she watched the people around her. Occasionally, her thoughts strayed to home, those she'd left behind, but for the most part she was content.

"Mind some company?" Ahsoka asked, all but sneaking up on Clarke. She felt slightly underdressed, but then she'd never been one for flowy things. That, and finding human clothing that suited her coloring was kind of difficult. But she'd made due with a pale blue top and dark green pants that looked like they'd been painted on.

This luau reminded her of a few things from back home.

	Clarke smiled at her approaching friend and shook her head as she gestured to the spot next to her. "Not at all," she said. "Please, join me, Ahsoka." She'd been the first person to greet Clarke on the Enterprise, after medical and the liaison staff and Clarke was genuinely happy to see her. "It's interesting. Incredibly varied biomes." Ahsoka took a seat next to Clarke, her smile toothy. She liked Clarke, and felt like she was a bit of a kindred spirit. "I like the heat here better than in San Francisco. It's still a little too humid for my liking, but not as bad."

In San Francisco it had felt like a Lothcat had been laying on her chest the whole time. "In my galaxy, many planets only have two biomes at best. A planet like Earth is incredibly rare."

"Really? Earth's the only planet I've ever known. I guess it's hard to imagine anything different, but it sounds like I'll get the chance to see what else is out there soon."

Shifting in a more comfortable position, she looked up at the sky for a moment and smiled as the anticipation of wherever the ship might take them settled over her. "I wonder where we'll end up next."

	"This galaxy is huge, with untold worlds to find." Ahsoka had never been a hard core explorer, but she'd loved seeing new worlds and meeting new people and helping them. 	"There's always dangers. There's probably stellar explosions and space whales and who knows what else," Ahsoka replied. "But that's what makes it exciting. 	"Whatever we find, we'll deal with it," Clarke decided. She hoped Ahsoka was right about it not being anything like what either of them were used to in their own realities, but she knew there was no telling what was out there. 	"Yep!" Ahsoka swirled her drink around, and winked at Clarke. "We'll deal with it. I'm pretty good at dealing with it." She could survive the Empire (or being a certain space pirate's "friend") she could survive anything. (Reply to this) (Parent)
