Welcome to the Hawaiian Luau!

All characters who joined the Hawaiian Islands excursion are invited to a traditional luau and pig roast in honor of the travelers. Enjoy drinks, dinner, hula, live music, a private beach, and each other.

OOC: Jaina and Poe were openly together on the beach earlier today. They've been spending a lot of time together although they haven't really been affecionate in public. So feel free to say you noticed, especially Jaina's friends and family who want to know what is going on...lol.

Jaina was in a wonderful mood. She'd had an amazing day and this luau was turning out to be a lot of fun. She'd changed into something more appropriate for the party, put her hair in a braid and was sitting on a log watching the people around her. She'd long since kicked off her sandals and was digging her toes in the sand.

Poe had wandered off to talk to someone and for the moment, Jaina was alone. She couldn't stop smiling and she looked out at the ocean, thinking that this place truly was paradise if such a place existed.

Jacen had most definitely noticed. Their shared twin bond was not as strong as it had once been and that was altogether his fault, but he could sense his sisters happiness and it was the pilot from the other timeline of their world that had made her feel this. He was happy for her.

That said...

"So I'll need to talk to him" he said, moving to stand next to his sister. He didn't know how much she knew, or remembered. But he had done the big brother speech to every one of her boyfriends and this was no different. But ultimately he was making Jaina happy, so he might leave out the 'can literally melt your brain' threat for this guy.

She looked up at her brother and smiled. "I expected no less," she said. "but I think you'll approve. He's a really good guy." Jaina did remember the way things had been between her and her brother, she missed the closeness of their twin bond and she hoped that they might be able to have it back one day. As it was, she was just glad that he was here and that he was more like the brother she remembered.

"Sit down," she moved over, making room for him. "We haven't had the chance to talk that much since you've been here. I never dreamed getting caught in a alternate universe came with vacation time." The only other alternate timeline she'd experienced had been anything but a vacation even if it had a happy ending.

"I can tell that already, and if he makes you happy Jaina, that's all that matters."

Of course if that changed and he hurt her the brain melting would be very much back on the table. He sat to join her as she had asked, knowing they had a lot to talk about. Knowing he had a lot to make up for, especially to her and Anakin. But he had the chance here and that meant the world.

"What is this vacation? I don't think it's a word I've ever heard before" he said amused. "But you're right, I was...I wasn't avoiding you exactly, I just didn't know what to say right away. Things were...bad before."

It was nice to hear Jacen say that. Despite the bad times, she had never truly given up hope and she had never stopped loving her brother. She also knew that if anything went wrong, he'd have her back just as she would for him. "He does make me happy," she replied. "and with all the adjustments to living in a new universe and on a ship that I can't fly, it's nice to have that."

She reached out and laid her hand on top of his when he said that things had been bad. "I understand but Jacen, that's over now. You're the other half of me, I love you and it might take all of us a while to get used to each other again but don't be afraid to talk to me."

She deserved happiness. And she was practically radiating it. When she placed her hand on his own he glanced over, the trust she felt for him was still there and sometimes he didn't know what to do with that. It was there with Anakin too and he didn't deserve it.

But here she was all the same.

"I'll try. I spent so long unable to trust anyone, caught up in my own paranoia. And none of you seemed willing to listen when..."

He had to stop this. Besides which this was a party. And his twin was here. Truly the other half of him. "Sorry, sorry I'll stop. Especially right now. But so we're clear, I'm still gonna have the brother talk with your flyboy" he told her with a mischievous grin.

It had hurt when he cut himself off from them all, for her losing their twin bond had been the worst thing she could ever imagine. The bond had been there from the womb and she couldn't remember a time when she couldn't reach out to him. While it wasn't completely back to the way it used to be, it was back and she was willing to be patient with him.

"We're all stubborn, you know that," she said. "With a Solo and a Skywalker for parents, there wasn't a chance that we wouldn't be." Jaina smiled. "and you're right. This is a party and I fully expect you to give Poe the brother talk. It's a good thing Anakin is caught up in wedding plans because if the two of you went to talk to him together, he might run for the hills."

"It will be a Talk. I'm learning all over again but I'm still your brother and he's still a boyfriend."

He'd kind of been an ass to Zekk. And he wasn't even a little sorry. Funnier still had been Jag Fel but Jaina wasn't even close to that yet. He could look back and see that he would have liked Fel, if circumstance had been different. Poe Dameron though, he was a flyboy. And of course Jaina would fall for someone like him.

"Anakin will get his own brother talk but I'm your twin. I get dibs" he told her, she was as stubborn as him of course. Maybe more so. He'd been trying to fight back against the negative impulses he still felt. But he hadn't quite beaten stubborn yet.

"I missed you Jaina"
