"Not before a lot of people got hurt." Aloy shrugged. There were a lot of things about 'modern' and 'future' culture that she was trying to understand. Mostly because some it seemed really dumb to her. But then she'd had the same reaction to a lot of the people she'd met on her journey.

People were kind of stupid no matter when or where you were. "I'm Aloy." She pronounced it with a long A, otherwise it sounded suspiciously like alloy. Fitting for the Rider of Machines.

"Probably not." Ginny agreed with a nod.

At learning the other woman's name, she didn't try to hide her surprise. In a culture where odd names were the norm, Aloy was one that she hadn't heard before but she thought it was quite pretty. "That's different," she said after a beat, "But I like it. My parents named me Ginevra and just called me Ginny which...." Ginny shrugged her shoulders, pretty ambivalent about her name though it always could have been worse.

	"Ginny sounds better then Ginerva," Aloy said. She wasn't sure why. Maybe because it was less formal, and Ginerva sounded like a really prissy noble lady in Meridian, and most of the prissy noble-ladies in Meridian made Aloy want to throw them off a cliff. (Reply to this) (Parent)
