"This ship runs a lot like the military. You break the rules, you sit in the brig and don't really get a choice in the matter."
She hadn't expected Lucifer to eat what she brought, she had never seen him eat anything in the time she had known him, but much like breaking the rules got you thrown in the brig, Starfleet expected those contained inside of it to be given their meals at a proper time. "You don't have to eat it," she said with a shrug of her shoulders. "They just provide it in case you are hungry. Starvation is generally frowned upon."
With a snort of amusement, Kate turned to grab one of the chairs on the opposite wall and carried it over to the door of Lucifer's cell, taking a seat and making herself comfortable. "Fun thing about husbands, you can leave them alone and come back to them later. And I saw him all day yesterday." And well into this morning, but she didn't think that part was relevant.
It was interesting, and a tiny bit funny, watching him lose his cool but Kate resisted the urge to react. She kept her face neutral through his rant, only raising her eyebrows once it seemed like Lucifer had finished. " First of all, don't you think Maze would have offered them to you or found a way to take you with her? It's not exactly a secret that you want to leave."
