They were back on the Enterprise after the shore leave to Risa - something that Napoleon had enjoyed immensely despite the awkwardness of his last evening out with Gaby. The evening itself had been amazing and they had loosened up to the point where the unspoken tension between them that had been festering for the last few months had become comfortable, welcoming, inviting. Inviting enough to the point where Napoleon had thought a kiss would be welcomed.

And it had been. It had been unbearably good and when Napoleon had reluctantly pulled it away before they got carried away, the barriers that they usually had up to maintain a perfectly innocent friendship came crashing back into place. And it had turned awkward. But he pushed the rest of their night out of mind for later thought and process, as he walked in workout clothes to a training room onboard. Just minutes before he had dressed down and sent a message to Illya to meet him in the gym. All the weird tension from the encounter with Gaby had left Napoleon feeling wired and he needed some kind of outlet. And while finding a willing partner had been a brief option, he decided to perhaps calm down that part of his life until he figured out what was going on between him and his partners before adding complications to his life.

So the work out would have to do. And since Illya was so looking forward to throwing him around under the guise of training him, this was a good alternative. Especially since Napoleon was always looking forward to spending more time with the other man, whatever the circumstances. Not that he would ever admit that. That would be revealing too much.

Being first to the training room, he started in on his stretching and pre-workout routine before Illya arrived.

Illya had been loathe to leave Risa, not necessarily because it was a pleasure planet, but because it was beautiful and relaxing and he could enjoy actual sunlight for once in a long time. He'd enjoyed his time spent there, particularly the time spent with Rogue, both in their bed and out of it. The ship felt sterile by comparison, but he didn't have much of a choice but to return to it.

Solo wanted to spar, which Illya found surprising, especially so soon after they had reboarded the ship. He was suspicious, but he kept it to himself. Anytime he was willingly allowed to hit Solo was a good day for him.

The American was already stretching when he arrived, which was good. Illya was wearing a T-shit and pants that were more form fitting than his usual trousers, though not obscenely so. He rubbed his hands together before he began to stretch as well. "How much martial arts experience do you have?"

He acknowledged the other agent with a nod of his head when he walked in and tried not to watch the curve of the blond's ass as he started to stretch. Damn him and his pants.

Redirecting his focus on finishing his own stretches, he answered the question pretty honestly. "Well, I wasn't recruited by the CIA for my martial arts abilities. Which are pretty basic. I'm better trained in boxing, have a few trophies from fighting in the army."

Arms raised over his head as he popped his back, he rolled his neck once and then stood in a loose stance as he waited for Illya to finish warming up. "Anything I need to know before we start?"
