I am going to take a break from the game for a bit. I don't want to leave TJS because, you know, Jacqui and I made it, but I feel really burned out on the community and my storylines in general so I'm going to take some time off and see how I feel about it in a few weeks. In order to do this in the least disruptive way possible, I have come up with reasons for my characters to be absent for a while. They are as follows:
Rez - After River left and took the kids to go live with Rez, her sister went back home. She was in a car accident and is in bad shape. Even though they aren't entirely close at the moment, she wants to be there for her so they're going to be taking off to Seattle for a while.
Cissy - Her father is getting remarried. He wants her and Grace to come meet his future wife and help with the wedding planning and be there for the wedding, etc. She will ask Tiger if he wants to come with her, but if he doesn't, she will understand and will call him almost every day while she's gone.
Syntax - He's going to get a call from Ikon who needs him to come help him out with the kids for a bit while he settles in. Since Ikon has been his best friend since practically birth, he will be going to stay with him for a while and take a leave of absence at the school.
Estrella - Her brother Trey is going to get shot up pretty bad during a drug deal gone back and end up in critical condition in Detroit. In spite of knowing that he wouldn't want her around because it's dangerous for her to be there, she's going to go anyway.
Charlie - She is going to get a phone call from her brother, JR. Anyone that knows about her background knows that he's a bad guy but he's her brother and she still loves him regardless because she's crazy. Long story short, he's in a hospital in pretty bad shape and wants her there and she's going to go to him even though Riley would be fully against it. Trevor will be going with her because there's no way either of them would let her go alone and Riley wouldn't go and take Mara because he wouldn't want her near JR at all.
Hope - Her adopted father is going to pass away quite suddenly. Even though she's not particularly close to her adopted family, she feels obligated to be there for them since they have always been there for her as best as they can. She will be traveling back to the UK for a bit to help her mother arrange the funeral and settle his estate. She would invite Wesley to go along but would discourage it since Mandy is so close to her delivery date.
Nico - He will stick around since he really only interacts with Lyle anyway and I don't have to worry much with him. He may see if Lyle wants to go with him to visit his mother in Nevada since the sudden death of Lyle's dad has him really wanting to see Holly again in case it's the last chance he ever has to see her.
Ingrid - She's going to end things abruptly with Reese because she doesn't "want to be a mother and a wife". She's not going far from Danvers though. She's going to find a place in Boston and attempt to get an actual job since she said she'd stick around for Lyle's sake but he doesn't want her to stay at the apartment with him and Nico.
This takes care of all of my kids. These events will transpire probably next week in game after the power swapping crap has ended so that my affected kids won't be taking off before they're better. If anyone would like to do a small scene or aim with any of these characters setting up the stage for what's going down, feel free to let me know.
