Sunday 2|24|2008

Bonjour! I'm Ami, I just transferred here from a similar school in Paris. I've missed American burgers and accents for way too long. I'll probably be in several classes with you guys and I'll be T.A. in one, though I suppose I'll let you discover the surprise come Monday morning. Anyone care to show the newbie around? I definitely need to remember my way to the library and the pool.

Monday 2/25/09

Who: Adora, Angel
When: 3pm
Where: Hope's Office
What: Angel checks in to make sure all things are in order

Saturday evening had been quiet for Angelina while she had moved back into her apartment. She hadn't ever vacated the room, only taken the essentials with her back to North Carolina for her trip. Now that she was back she had spent the night washing laundry and dusting. The next morning, Sunday, Angel had gone to the morning procession as well as the evening meeting, spending much of the day talking with their father about her journey. He was interested in knowing more and so, while he had done his daily work, Angelina had given him a hand. "Bless your heart," he'd said once the day was over and she was finally leaving. He was a good guy.

Finally on Monday, when the offices were open, Angel went to properly check in for work. Just to make sure everything was set up properly so she could easily return to teaching. She had really missed her students. When she told her mother she was going to return to the school she had cried; she hadn't realized just how much she'd missed this whacky place. Despite all the strange things thrown at their lives, the school was filled with a great group of faculty and students. They were like her second family and she had longed to see them. So, stepping foot into the office, her almost overly bright blue eyes (she'd left her color correction out today) scanned the desks. Now, if she remembered from the information correctly, Nox had been replaced by Hope. That woman had been nice.

Approaching one of the desks, Angel put a soft hand down on the surface. Her nails were perfectly manicured with French tips. "Excuse me," she said in her Southern accent that was almost a drawl, but not quite. North Carolina sat on the borderline of Southern accents, really. "Is Miss Hope in?"

Sunday: Feb/24/08

Who: Charlie and Rae
When: Sunday, late night
Where: female dorms
What: bumping into each other (not in THAT way)

Charlie had worn his workout clothes for tonight's shift. He hadn't been running much this week, and he had every intention of getting some exercise while doing rounds tonight. Of course, he would still do all that was required of him, but there was no reason why he couldn't run a few laps around the school's exterior as well.

Once inside again, as he was making his way through the girls dorms, checking the emergency exits (which were supposed to ONLY be used in case of emergencies), he spotted a pile of clothing near one of the doors. Having a niece who was a shapeshifter, he was all too well aware of their need to strip before transforming. He also knew that they really shouldn't be running around outside, unsupervised, after hours, in their animal form, especially if they were still learning. He picked up the clothes and headed outside once again.

Charlie snooped around for a few minutes, looking for any large animal, and it didn't take him long to spot the furry rule breaker. It looked like some sort of deer, only with weird zebra-like stripes on its hindquarters. Was it a gazelle? "Hey!" he called out, holding the clothing up in the air. "You're not supposed to be out right now."

Who: Keagan and Adora
When: Monday 2/25/08
Where: Administrative Office
What: New Student Transfer!

Keagan had only been in Massachusetts for two days and had already decided it was far too cold. He didn't remember the north east being this cold in the past. All the rivers were frozen solid and it had been so long since he'd seen vast amounts of frozen water that it had actually surprised him.

He had woken early that morning to travel from the room he'd rented at a hotel in Boston to travel to Danvers, and even then it had taken him nearly 3 hours by public transit. It made him wish he'd hired a car, regardless of the price.

Alas, he had made it to the school, which was beautiful and made him glad he had decided to move. He adjusted the large canvas pack on his back a bit and made his way into the front entrance of the building labeled on his little orientation map as "Educational Facility". He followed the orientation packet's instructions to the Administration office and knocked before walking in. "Hello?"

Sunday, Feb 24th 2008

Who: Duncan & Adora
Where: The art studio.
When: Late morning, early afternoon
What: Duncan is helping Adora move, because he's a sucker for girls who need help!

Duncan arrived just when he said he would, wearing a zipped up black hoodie and no hat. His hair was long now, long enough to cover his horns in tufty auburn semi-curls. He appeared almost cherubic, except for the laugh lines near his eyes and mouth. He wore ripped jeans and sneakers -- perfect moving day outfit, in his opinion -- and had taken off the silver rings he usually wore, because blisters were annoying.

His voice echoed as he popped his head in, then slid in the rest of him. "Hello? Anybody home?"

A pause.

"Luuuucy..."

Tuesday 2/19/08

Who: Shawn and Zevira
When: Tuesday 2/19/08
Where: The common room
What: Jenga!

"You're going to be late" The half reproach half reminder came from Leo, even if he hadn't looked up from the computer screen.

"Are you sure you will be okay?" Asked the elemental, currently pacing the room without having his feet touch the ground. He tended to do that on rare occasion, but only in times of extreme nervousness. This, by all means, was one of those moments. Why had he even volunteered to do this anyway? Nobody had helped him, and it wasn't as if she was a danger to herself. But in a fleeting moment, the instant he learned that someone out there couldn't quite control their strength, he had felt the need to help.

"For the millionth time, I'll be fine. It's not as if I'm going to create some giant monster or flesh eating bacteria in your absence. Now go." He looked up at that point, giving his 'older' brother a glare to emphasize the point. "And before you ask, I will not come with you. Zev is a nice girl, you'll be fine." He glanced at the clock quickly, "and you're also late. Get going."

Shawn walked out the door at that point, with one last look back. Halfway down the hall, it hit him, the icy words of his previous master. "Ungrateful elemental. Can't even bother to show up on time. This'll teach you." A minute shiver crossed his frame, accompanied with a small shake of the head, as if to rid himself of the ghostly voices. It seemed that Julius would haunt him forever.

It would be impossible, in that moment, to know exactly why Shawn shifted into his elemental form. Perhaps it was because he could move unhindered and with great speed, so he wouldn't keep his new companion waiting. Or maybe, just maybe, it was because thoughts were so much simpler in this form, and the voice of Julius would be temporarily silenced.

A small but powerful jetstream made its way through the school, circling the common room before taking the form of Shawn. He appeared in front of Zevira, a small across his face from the thrill of what he'd just done.

"Hello."

Who: Lyle, Vinnie, Jacob and Chris
Where: some rehearsal space
When: 2 pm
What: practice

What the fuck was Jacob doing here? He was all right following a beat, but he had never imagined playing bass. Hanging out with Lyle and Vinnie was fine, enjoyable even, and different from working on magical projects. Maybe he could give this the same level of energy he gave other activities to be fair to the other guys. If nothing else, he'd get how to play a bass guitar out of it. Jacob was on his way to becoming a Renaissance man, so it seemed like a good way to start. Didn't women like guys who played guitars?

He fastened the strap of the guitar around him, strumming the strings to see if they were in tune. Granted, he didn't quite know if that was right or not and so he needed to wait for Vinnie's opinion. Drinks were a good way to pass the time for a couple of minutes and he grabbed a can of soda to sip. Tasty stuff. He glanced at the others before he downed the can with a few gulps.

"So one thing on our agenda should be giving the band a name," Jacob said. "I feel more motivated to play for a group with an official name." Surely the other members had to feel the same way.

Saturday - Feb 23rd, 2008

Who: Cissy and Will
When: Saturday Night
Where: Starting at the school then going out
What: A date? WTF?!?!

So, a date. Cissy hadn't been on a date in... Well it felt like forever but it wasn't since the time she had gone out with Lloyd which had been when? November? That was a really long time ago. Of course Cissy had never been the type of girl to go on that many dates to begin with. Usually she just went somewhere to... But that wasn't what tonight was all about. Will was... interesting. And he made her laugh. And while she didn't think there would be much of a future there, it had been so long since she had done anything that even remotely resembled fun that that was all she wanted, just to have a little fun. And he seemed like the perfect guy to have fun with.

But that wasn't to say that she wasn't nervous for a variety of reasons. First of all, she had never asked a guy out before, so that had been nerve wracking. Usually she just said "You're taking me out!", not "I'd like to take you out if you're interested.". Leaving him the option to decline had made her incredibly nervous. And now that he had accepted, there was the whole getting dressed thing.

That part of a date had always been difficult but now that she was pregnant, it was even more difficult because she had a baby bump. Granted, it wasn't huge yet, but none of the clothes she would normally wear out to a club really fit her the same any more and in every single outfit that she put on, it was at least a little bit obvious. She tried on at least a dozen dresses before resigning herself to the fact that that was just how it was going to have to be. And since she couldn't hide her belly, she decided to accentuate other aspects, such as her lovely teal eyes, her killer legs, and her breasts that had grown at least a cup size since she had gotten pregnant.

Cissy had finally settled on a short teal dress, a pair of white Prada heels, and a small white wristlet to match that would be easy to keep up with even on the dance floor. Makeup done, hair down and spilling across her shoulders in soft curls, perfume applied, she was ready. And she looked pretty fucking hot even if she said so herself. And she was even on time, standing at the front doors at precisely eight, waiting for her date to arrive, wearing a short, white wool trench to keep her warm in the cold New England weather until they got where they were going. Cissy didn't have her car yet. Her dad was supposed to come out on Monday to take her to look for one, so she'd called a cab since she figured that was her responsibility being that she was the one that had asked him out, which was waiting for them outside.

Saturday - February 23rd, 2008

Who: Duncan and Adora
Where: Starting where Duncan's got rehearsals, then probably to the cafeteria
When: Saturday, February 23rd, around 3 PM
What: Duncan and Adora are trying really hard to continue the whole "Getting to know each other" process here

Adora had taken her time getting up this morning, slept in a bit, and then took a little more time to organize the kitchen area of her apartment. She'd never known what the family-size staff rooms had been like, but now that she actually had one, she realized she had far too little to actually fill out the apartment. She'd have to get back into working on her artwork, because, clearly, she did not have enough there.

After wavering back and forth on where everything should go until about 2:30, Adora slipped into a pair of jeans and a black tank top, grabbing a blazer to pull over her shoulders so she wouldn't die from the cold. Stopping at the cafeteria, as he had threatened to do so, Adora made Duncan a cup of coffee - seriously? A lot of vanilla creamer - It was insane - and headed along to the rehearsal space that she wasn't allowed to actually go inside of.

Adora hovered around the door to the space for a few minutes, right around 2:45, and tried not to look as energetic as she felt. She couldn't help it, though. She felt wonderful. Morning sickness was finally gone, she had had an amazing meal, she did not plan on letting anything get her mood down. Oh. And she had her list in her blazer pocket.

Who: [info]dizzyp & [info]rezidentsk8er
When: Saturday 2|23|08 Afternoon
Where: Rez's Room
What: An attempt at friendship or something like it
Status: In Progress

Anxiety. That was the only thing she was capable of feeling as she made her way down the long corridor that connected the girls' wing to the boys'. It wasn't like she expected things to magically be better. But between her only friend now involved in a relationship and being stuck on campus due to being under age and the recent trouble she'd gotten herself in, Dizzy found herself running out of options. At the end of the day, as much as she didn't want to be reminded of her history with Rez, there was no denying it. When there was nothing else left at lest she should make some effort to repair that. Hands were shoved into the pockets of her jeans as socked feet silently carried her past the doors to other bedrooms.

Reaching his door, fingers curled to knock gently against the wood. Shoulder leaned against the molding of his doorway as she waited for an answer. A slightly over sized gray t-shirt hung over a skinny torso, practically hiding any hint of her femininity. She'd thought about bringing a stashed bottle of booze but sneaking it during the day didn't seem like the sort of effort she was willing to make. She had something far more discreet in her pocket if he was interested. "Hey..." She said sort of blandly as Rez finally opened the door to his room. "How's it going?" It was a little awkward to be so nonchalant, but it was a sign that she'd gotten over their drama, atleast mostly. Her heart wasn't attached and therefore she could muster up enough maturity to handle this and anything else that might come her way in regard to Rez. Or so she kept reminding herself.

Who: Duncan and Adora
Where: Outside, somewheres.
When: Afternoonish. After lunchtime.
What: Duncan catches Adora leaving Hopes office.

Duncan had an iPod. He was no run of the mill "old fashioned demon set in his ways, curse you kids with your music and get off my porch" horned fogey. Oh, no. The demon had a Blackberry, an iPod, and a laptop. The laptop rarely left his apartment, however, because he knew that, no matter how hard you tried, if you brought your laptop to the cafeteria to write and drink coffee, you looked pretentious. If you had spreadsheets and graphs up, you looked important, but if all that decorated your screen was MS Word, you looked like an ass. It was how it had been, since Windows...1, or however Windows had started. He forgot by now.

He was so wrapped up in quietly singing a number to the musical he was directing he didn't even see Adora coming at him. His voice, even muffled by outside noise and his own volume, was pretty spectacular. As he hummed/sang together in broken pieces he was walking with a brisk, hard, long-legged pace and fishing around in his messenger bag. Where the hell was his copy of the script? The white wire of the headphones clashed with his forest green tee shirt and the chocolate blazer he wore, making the attached iPod shuffle in his front pocket obvious. He appeared to be a bit of a hipster, unfortunately.

Friday - Feb. 23rd, 2008

Who: Jack and Ingrid
When: Friday Night (After Curfew)
Where: The woods outside of the school.
What: Someone's been bad!

She had arrived and she had settled into a room. It wasn't too shabby of a place. The bed was comfortable and there was running water. Already it had a few up on the last place she had been staying. But Ingrid was never the type to be able to simply sit and be still, especially not at night. So shortly after the last of her things were unpacked, she tucked her lighter and her cigarettes into the top of her black boot and pulled on her worn black leather jacket before sneaking out of the building and onto the grounds where she could have a walk and a little time alone with her thoughts.

The feeling was stronger than she could have ever imagined being this close to him. It was like she could feel the very blood pulsing through his veins, like she could hear the sound of his faint, almost non-existent, heartbeat over the sound of everything else. It was almost torture... And she liked it.

Eventually she found herself perched upon a tree branch, feet dangling as she took drag after drag off of her cigarette. Her eyes were focused upon a light in the distance, in a single window of the main building where she knew he presently was. But in spite of this focus, she still felt it when the man began to approach. And she pulled her legs up onto the branch with her, hidden in the shadows of the tree, dark eyes watching the figure that was lit rather clearly by the light of the waning moon.

It wasn't until the man began to tug off his shirt that Ingrid decided to make her presence known. The sound of her boots hitting the ground as she jumped down from the tree was louder than it should have been in contrast to the silence of the night around them. "Nice abs," she remarked cooly as she exhaled the last drag of her cigarette and dropped the remnants to the ground, crushing it with the toe of her boot.

Friday February 22 2008

Who: Cissy and Fisher and Devon and James
What: This girl so crayzay! He likes it
Where: Cissy's Room, then James' Room
When: Friday Evening
Rating: NSFW

Cissy was a nut, there was no doubt about it. She changed her mind more than strippers changed outfits. Fisher had expected her to go off to New York, and twice this week she'd said she was going, and twice she had decided not to. The goth had waited a few days before going to see her, just in case she changed her mind again and actually took off.

But she was in her room, and he knew because the lights were on and he could hear the television inside. She was talking to someone, probably herself, probably tossing outfits aside and trying to decide on pajamas. Fisher liked that about Cissy- she was one of the most manic people he knew and that made him feel a little more sane. He imagined Cissy liked him because he was more damaged than her in some other way, which probably made her feel good about herself. Not exactly the best thing to build a friendship on, but if they were healthy people they wouldn't be where they were now.

Knocking casually, Fisher waited for Cissy's frazzled voice to tell him to enter.

[info]fireme_up

Friday 22nd Feb

Who: James and Lloyd
Where: Lloyd's office.
When: Friday 22nd at 5pm.
What: Lloyd's worried about James, but the only way he can get him to fucking talk is by chaning him to the goddamn patient's chair! Not literally...
Rating: tbc, but probably swearing.

Lloyd shouldn't have been nervous, but he was. He hadn't seen James in ages, the younger demon choosing to stay away from after everything that had happened. Of course he still blamed Lloyd for a lot of things, which the shrink understood - somewhat. And the atmosphere between the two was strained at best. But that didn't explain why he was worried this meeting would be the worst idea he'd ever had; James was hostile, but had also declared he was suicidal, or at least faux-joked about it. Now Lloyd was worried.

As he waited he tried to keep calm, sorted through his papers. The silver ring on his wedding finger was turned a few times in anxiety. Every now and then he'd look up at the door, expecting it to burst open but he forced his mind away from that. When he'd finally distracted himself though it was time for James to enter, and when the two demons set eyes on each other Lloyd simply coughed a little.

"Take a seat."
