"You are not a coward," Remus said firmly, "Everyone is foolish from time and time, and everyone has their doses of stupidity too. However, what I think you need to get through your head, is that Dumbledore was not a God." Remus frowned heavily, this time his eyes looking haunted, "After he asked me to work with Fenrir... after that conversation we had in this very living room, I never looked at that man the same. I never trusted him fully after that. I will always be thankful for the opporunities he gave me, but he was an opportunist. Just bcause Dumbledore trusted him, doesn't mean the rest of us should. I don't, and I doubt I ever will."
Remus sat down on the couch, "You're not a hero. Well, you are, but building yourself up for it was your first mistake. Thinking in your head 'I'm the hero' is what has done you in. You have a major complex asking for help, and one day, it will kill you. It already nearly has. Running off in the middle of the night... it's not about you being tied down, or you needing to be protected.. it's got to do with common sense and recognizing it isn't safe, and you are indeed a target. So am I, so is Sirius now, so is my wife. So is the Order. So is a lot of people. It's time to think like a young man, and not like a messiah."
