Summary:
Harry needed to talk to Snape. He hadn't told anyone else about wanting to meet with Snape, nor did they understand to the full extent why he needed to. Harry had a lot of memories now that didn't belong to him, dumped on him and he wanted some answers behind them. Severus Snape, loved his mother, hated his father and because of that anger, had taken it out of Harry. Harry didn't have to be afraid or confused anymore around the man. What he wanted was some form of the truth.
He didn't want to sneak away, but when else was he going to get the chance. Could he fully trust Snape? Or was this all just a large set up in the end? If it was, he deserved to be caught. When did he not take risks? Moving out the front door he slipped away down the path to the road, hoping he hadn't been seen. Outside, he felt.. free. Not that he didn't appreciate everything Remus and his family had done for him, but this was all Harry ever wanted. Safety, the chance to just take a walk alone sometimes. He stopped still able to see Remus' house and sighed.
This wasn't a good idea. As badly as he wanted to go, his own anxiety and fear was catching up to him. All the confidence he used to have, had abandoned him in his time captured by Voldemort. The old Harry would have kept walking and met up with his old teacher, but now he couldn't find the will to keep walking.
With a sigh, he made his way back to the house, cursing himself for being so weak and stupid. There would come a time he would get all the answers he wanted, but tonight, he was better off just staying home and studying. His hand reached out for the doorknob as he turned it silently, hoping his disappearance would go unnoticed.
