Hermione didn't want to go back, to be honest. She wanted to just take her NEWTs and be done with it. And she had little doubt that she could do just that. A week or two of studying and she could get good grades with no question. She was even pretty sure she could have Harry and Ron ready and passable after a month or so. But that would make her feel like a drop out. It would be like the equivalent of getting her GED and that would make her feel terrible.
Not to mention Harry was still the face of the war. They needed him to be back. The world needed to see that he wasn't hiding away. He needed to look strong. And they needed to stand strong beside him. So they would be returning to Hogwarts. They would stand up and be strong and the world would be able to say that no matter what, Harry Potter wasn't giving up.
"Yes, I think we need to keep the DA going," Hermione said, nodding her head. It went right along with what she was just thinking. Be strong. Remain strong. Help others to be strong. "The war is still going. And four months ago it came right into the school. It's important for everyone to learn to fight. They might have to, whether they want to or not." Hermione didn't like to think about it, but she couldn't not think about it. It was life. She needed to face it.
