Peter & Torunn
Who: Peter Parker and Torunn Thorsdóttir
What: No use crying over (almost) spilt coffee
Where: Hobknob's Coffee and Tea Emporium
When: April 25th
Rating/Warnings: Low/None

Peter was bored. Which was something he felt a bit bad about. Because, well, it was probably a good thing that he wasn't out stopping carjackings and muggings - or worse - every evening, right? Hadn't he wished for this, more than once, when he was sat alone in his tiny apartment scrolling through the scanner, eating leftover takeaway from the night before? He'd wanted to be normal. And now he was sharing an apartment with a very-much-alive Mr Stark and Morgan and allowed to help out on the 'magical interference' problem and it was all good, right?

Still, he was bored. So he wandered the streets, peering into the various shop windows until he ended up in the bookshop, asking each and every question he could think of until the shopkeeper got sick of him and shooed him away, a stack of books wedged under his arm.

Weighed down with magical reading material, Peter eventually swerved into the now-familiar doorway of Hobknobs. Perhaps, he thought, he'd sit down and flick through his new purchases - there might be something in there that might be of use to Tony. Peter was still lost in thought as he joined the back of the line, his gaze trained thoughtfully on his battered sneakers. It was a tingling sensation in the base of his skull, and a shot of electricity up his spine, which alerted him to a sharp movement to his right.

Without thinking, Peter's arm flew out, and he looked down in surprise to see an almost-full coffee cup clutched in his hand, caught before it had a chance to spill, let alone hit the floor.

"Uh," he straightened up, awkwardly holding the drink out to it's owner, who had just been knocked by a very impatient-looking old wizard in a pointed hat. "Sorry. Here."

"You know Tony?" Peter told her a lot in a small amount of time, but her ears perked up when she heard about the man who was her foster dad in her world. "He's my foster dad in my world." She had to laugh about the magic jamming up the tech. "Yeah, I bet he is really pissed about the technology messing up here." She didn't know Peter at all, but the little connection from home made her want to learn more about him.

"Yeah, I mean, he's - wait, what?"

Peter should really be used to the whole 'multiverse' thing by now, considering the last six months. Still, it still seemed totally insane every time it cropped up. He squinted at the blonde for a moment, taking her in with a new kind of interest. It wasn't as if he couldn't imagine Mr Stark in that kind of role - he'd seen him with Morgan, after all, and if Peter was honest Tony was the closest thing he'd had to a Father figure since Uncle Ben had died. Still, it was a strange thought.

"It's not great," he admitted. "Like, there's stuff we can do but the suits and whatever don't really-" Peter stopped suddenly. Who even said that she knew about all that Iron Man stuff? It seemed unlikely, but not much here seemed to make sense. "He's trying to figure it out, anyway."

They'd reached the front of the queue now, and Peter quickly ordered his drink from the frazzled looking server before nodding towards one of the empty tables by the window. "Hey, you - uh - want to sit down?"

Nothing Peter said surprised Torunn. Even in the apocalypse, Tony managed to save his suits and technology. Of course he'd want to find a way to get it working in their weird new world. The thought comforted her; maybe Tony wasn't that different from what she knew?

"Sure," she easily agreed and headed toward the table Peter indicated. "I grew up during an apocalypse," she explained. "My bio dad is Thor and my bio mom is Sif. They banished me to earth as a toddler to learn humility and Tony took me in. He also took in the kids from the other Avengers who Ultron killed. There is James, Azari, and Pym."
