Who: Tonks and [OPEN]
What: Exploration and dragons?
When: Saturday afternoon, April 2nd

Tonks had been in Cardiff, in the year 1999, no more than a few hours when two things happened. One, she was tired of hanging out in the new digs which, while very nice, was rather different than her small flat in Chiswick. She had actually demurred on the given quarters, but was kindly reminded that her flat may no longer be her own. Four years had past, after all, and a lot could change in four years. After pointed questions, she also found out that they were attempting to keep everyone who came in through the Rift in a central location as to keep them close while figuring things out.

The pink-haired woman attempted to grill them on a few other things and, while they weren't exactly forthright with their information, their demeanor made Tonks believe a few things about her future.

So it was with those thoughts in mind that she decided to go for a walk and check the area out. She had never been to Cardiff before at any rate, so the exploration would probably do her some good. Tonks stepped out then, rolling the shoulder that had been banged up during the battle and that the Ministry was good enough to patch up while orientating her, and looked around. It was then that she saw something that perhaps was strange for Cardiff. There was a dragon, a Common Welsh if memory and hours of listening to Charlie Weasley back in school served correctly, perched atop of a building. Just like a very large gargoyle.

The pink-haired woman looked around, watching as others looked upon the creature warily but attempting to mind their own business as not to catch its attention, and then made her way closer. Just to make sure everything was okay.

"Oh! What sort of dog is she? I love animals. Had a family cat that's old and cantankerous. Only truly loves my dad." Tonks didn't have the heart to get a pet of her own, not with her lifestyle of fighting both as an Auror and Order member.

But she chuckled and nodded in understanding at the accent thing. "Reckon that it's us who have the accent to you. Always funny how that works. And there are dragon keepers. I hope they've been called at this point." It actually made her wonder if they had.

"Would you like a cuppa? I'd like to check if they did call the dragon keepers, and can get you a drink?" Two birds with one stone never hurt anyone.

Yelena laughed. "Fanny is just a dog. I found her at a shelter, she's a good friend." Until she had come here, Fanny had been the only family she had and Yelena honestly didn't know what she'd do without her. "She's brown and kind of fuzzy? I am not sure what breed she is. Probably more than one."

A drink sounded like a good idea to Yelena. "Yes, that sounds good. I hope they have called the dragon keepers. If not, somebody needs to. At least he's not bothering anyone up there." The dragon was probably more scared of them than they were of him, she thought, but she didn't know anything about dragons so who knew. Maybe he was plotting destruction while he watched them.
