Who: Finn, Mal and Riley When: Afternoon Where: The tunnels What: Riley and Mal Status: COMPLETE
Mal had hung up the phone, leaving the papers to be graded on his desk in the pile he'd left them in. So much for getting work done, but this was slightly more important. What the hell was Finn thinking? He showed up at Riley's door as promising, knocking and poking his head in. "You alright? I've already picked up his trail if you want to go now."
Riley looked up at the man at his door, he had never seen Mal in person before…he was very attractive, Rorie was lucky. He was wincing a little from the pain still in his head but he gave Mal a thumbs up and grabbed his coat. “I’m good to go don’t worry about me.” He slid into the coat and shut his office, following behind Mal.
Finn had it worked out. As much as possible anyways. He actually had been called into work to work on a pipe, but he had to let it set, so he'd gone off to do his dasterdly deed and came back to it. His arms were fine, red, but fine. Finn cleaned them up, put his work clothes on and went back to the pipe. Rorie really was on campus and he really had gone through the tunnel. The first time they'd played with the ring, Mal had told them apart on smell. He wasn't going to do that again. The younger sibling had walked with him to his work spot and then onto the library to study. So his scent was there, just like it should be. Grunting, he held a flashlight between his shoulder and head as he worked on this blasted bolt.
Mal strode through the halls, grateful for his heightened sense of smell because it meant he didn't have to sniff like the average lycan to find the trail. Mal could just breathe. He took the path down to the tunnels, navigating them easily in the dark, though it meant his eyes glowed red. Well, they would have anyways. He was just a bit upset. What the hell was Finn thinking?
Riley followed him, not really paying attention this eyes, he could almost feel Finn in the tunnel. His emotions were swirling but the one thing he did know was he was pissed as hell at Finn and he really really wanted to throw him around some more and be aware of it this. "Any ideas as to why he's doing this?" He asked quietly.
Finn was just right as rain, but he could feel Riley coming towards him. Who knew what else he brought with him. Taking a break, he stepped away, finally getting the bolt off and putting in a new one. Ignoring him for now, he continued to work even when he heard the foot steps getting closer. He had a work light on, shining bright so he could see what the hell he was doing with that big ass wrench.
Mal stepped up around Finn, eyes shifting back to normal so he could see in the dim light. "Finn O'Bannon. Would you like to explain that little scene in Riley Quinn's office?"
Riley looked at Finn waiting to see what the other man was going to say, his telekinesis wrapping around himself to protect himself from Finn's power as best he could.
"What?" Finn grunted as he put the new bolt in place. Pausing he looked at the two men like they were crazy. "What scene?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow, just like when he was generally confused. "Oh fuck," he grumbled, letting his head hang a bit. "Is this about what happened last week? When I came in to fix the vents and some stuff happened?" He asked, looking from Riley to Mal. "Look, Riley, I'm sorry that happened and it won't happen again, okay," he said, stepping away from his work and looking genuinely sorry at Riley. "Things are. . . Kinda weird right now for me." It was the polite thing to say, especially since Mal was there.
And since Mal was there, Liam the ghost was quiet and behaved instead of swinging at or screaming at Finn.
Mal glanced over at Riley. "You get first shot if you want it. Then he's mine." He knew Finn was blowing smoke out of his ass for the moment. Glancing around, he caught sight of a familiar face. Faint, wispy and most certainly a ghost. He growled softly, wondering why the mob boss was there.
Riley looked at Finn and shook his head. "You're such a liar." He growled out and used his power to pick Finn up and throw him against the wall hard, not as hard as he could because that could cause serious damage, but enough to make it hurt and last so that he would suffer like Riley was. "All yours." He said with a frown.
Finn looked confused for a moment before he went flying against the wall. Crying out, he managed to get to his feet again slowly. "What the fuck is going on?" He asked, as he looked at Riley and Mal. "Look, maybe next time just fuckin' say something instead of just fuckin' a guy," he said, getting irritated as he leaned against the wall a bit.
Mal stalked forward, ignoring the ghost hovering over Finn's shoulder. "We all know that we're not here to discuss what you and Dr. Quinn may or may not have done. Where's the charm to turn to Rorie?" Mal stood next to Finn, keeping his hands down by his sides for the moment.
