Charlie/Ana - 9:30
Charlie cared about Ana too. He always had. He didn't always like her, but he definitely cared about her and wanted her to be happy. She was his family, legally, and that forced him to care about her regardless if he wanted to. He couldn't turn his back on family.
Relieved that she didn't pull away, but then saddened by the change in her posture that expressed how much she was hurting, Charlie gave her a squeeze. "Everything will be fine. Just might take awhile." He needed her to believe that. He needed Ava to believe it too.
After a few moments of silence, Charlie let his arms fall slowly to his sides and gave his hands sanctuary in his pockets once more. He didn't know what more to say, until it came to him suddenly. "If you or Ava ever need anything, you call me. I don't care what it is, or how far away I am, I'll do what I can to help. I'm sure there are teleporters at Maggie's new school." Hopefully they were talented enough to be able to transport him across country in an emergency. Promising this to Ana meant there really wouldn't be a clean break, but he'd never abandon them. If the twins needed his help, he'd give it.
