Re: Charlie/Ana - 9:30
That confession, albiet a small one, from Ana really hit Charlie. They'd never had a real conversation before, at least on on her end. She'd never once let down her guard to really talk with him. He'd tried to relate to her several times in the past, to get to know her as a friend, but she simply wouldn't allow it. He knew the reason, which she just admitted to, but it was still nice to hear it.
He nodded as she stopped speaking. He understood completely. Charlie didn't care if he got slapped for it, or if it ruined this bit of progress between them. He had to give her a hug. She looked so much more like Ava in that moment. Softer, vulnerable, in need of comfort. He pulled her to him gently, his arms embracing her as he pressed her to his chest. "I hope things work out for you and Adam." And he really did. Jealousy aside, Charlie wanted Ana to be happy, because it was what Ava wanted. Adam didn't have the same commitments as Charlie did, so he was free to stay with Ana, or follow her if she decided to leave. Maybe they'd run away together some night and escape Saul. He wished them nothing but the best.
