Fisher wasn't eagerly awaiting Lyle's response. Was it considered taking advantage if you asked a question knowing what the answer would be but also knowing the other party wasn't happy about it, but you did it anyway? It felt like it was. But what was done was done, the message was sent, and he slid the phone back into his pocket to dread the eventual reply. The last thing he expected was to be twirled about like Grace Kelly. His boots thumped hard on the floor as he tried to keep his footing. He was normally graceful, but not when he was caught off guard.
When he was finally safe back in James' arms, he set upon the demon the Scowl of Scowls, the look of absolute death. "You're an ass," he said angrily, though he already knew his anger was going to fizzle out just looing at that Cheshire grin on James' face. Damn that man.
