Re: Frankie/Lyle - 9:30ish
Frankie got the reference with the drink. Judging by the color of the liquid, it wasn't diluted by soda. Straight Jack. She knew it took a lot of liquor for vampires to feel anything, so she hoped that was all that was going on here. Otherwise, he was trying to get drunk because he was upset. She really wished she knew what had gone wrong and caused him to return to school, but Frankie still felt it wasn't her place to pry.
When he showed her the note that said she looked gorgeous, Frankie's eyes dropped bashfully with a wide grin. Her cheeks turned pink once more. "Thank you," she said softly. "Blue's told me so several times, but she's a girl. It counts for more when a guy says it." Sadly, Frankie was extremely insecure, and she needed that sort of reassurance to feel good about herself.
"Did you lose your voice or something?" Frankie couldn't imagine that he was simply choosing to keep his mouth shut. That would be weird. But vampires didn't get sick, so why would his voice suddenly flake out? "You have a really nice voice, so that would be a shame."
