Rez's jaw set, and in that moment, he probably resembled Mr. McCafferty as he so often wore this very same expression. But of course it was different coming from Rez. Everything was different coming from Rez, good or bad. But instead of arguing with Fisher, like would be typical of him, he just gave a small shrug of his shoulders. "Guess it's true what they say about birds of a feather then, ain't it?"
In a brief moment of insanity, at least that's probably what he could accredit it to later on, Rez walked over to pick up the mic that Fisher had discarded on the ground and flip on the amp. "Hello?" It was louder than he'd expected, and he cringed a little but he didn't put it down. "This is Jonathan Reznick and I just wanted to make you all aware that I am in love with Fisher Majors, even though he's a jackass. Because in spite of jackassyness, as a general rule of thumb, he makes me happy. And even when he doesn't make me happy, he makes shit bearable, makes it easier for me to not just say 'fuck it' and go OD on somethin' cuz I don't have any real reason not to. And he makes me wanna be a better person mostly just becuz I want him to be a better person, and I thought maybe be could be if he knew that someone else was becuz of him."
"But that shit ain't enough..." Up until this point, he'd been looking out at nothing, at the building, no one in particular, but now he turned his gaze to Fisher. "It ain't enough that I would do anything for him, that I've completely reworked my life so that I could be a better person to be in his, that I've embarrassed myself over and over again for him, right now included, or that I've put myself out there time and time again knowin' that I wasn't gonna get the reaction I wanted. He wants more than that." Rez scoffed a little and then he added, "So I'm gonna give him what he wants, okay? I'm gonna give you what you want, Fisher."
Taking a few steps toward the other man to close the space between them, he leaned in closer to the microphone before he spoke very clearly and very deliberately. "Fuck. Off." He shoved the mic at the other man then let go of it, leaving him to either take it or let it fall before he asked, "Happy now?" He shook his head with a sigh then turned to walk away.
