Gasping, Cherry swatted Loghan's arm. "You wouldn't dare! Rocco is my baby. I've had him since he was a kitten. I can hardly stand to sleep without him." The serval was an excellent cuddler, and he could be scary when necessary, so he helped keep the freaks at bay.
"Won't that make it kinda hard to keep in touch?" she asked. Traveling like that sounded nice and liberating. Cherry had done that one summer. She hopped in her car and just drove. But if Loghan did that, how would she contact him? He wasn't all that into technology. She doubted he'd even take a cell phone along. "I just got you back. I don't wanna lose you again."
