What: Mandy tries to be there for Ophie
Where: Ophelia's Room
When: Monday afternoon
Rating: TBD
Mandy knew that Ophelia was not taking Simon's death well. How could she? The girl had already lost one friend, and now she had lost another. Plus she and Simon had been so close, Mandy had wondered sometimes if maybe the love there had been totally mutual. She knew Simon was in love with Ophelia. Anyone with eyes could see that. (Anyone but Ophelia, anyway.) But the way Ophelia talked about Simon, Mandy sometimes wondered if Ophelia was in love with the boy, too. She had never said anything though, because Simon was with Cissy and Mandy didn't want to risk giving up her girlfriend. She liked Ophelia a lot more then she had expected to.
Her cell phone still clutched in her hand, Mandy made her way to Ophelia's room. The text from Jacob had set off about a hundred alarms in her head. Where had Ophelia gotten liquor? Worse still, how had she managed to stumble across Jacob? As far as Mandy knew, the two didn't have any kindof relationship. That meant that either Ophelia had been wandering around drunk or she had invited Jacob over and... Mandy didn't really want to debate the possibilities. She didn't bother knocking, just walked in. The sight broke her heart. Candy wrappers were everywhere, a bottle or two of alcohol... the entire room smelled like a cocktail. Ophelia could get in serious trouble for this. And where was Kindle?
"Oh, God, Ophelia," Mandy sighed, closing the door and making her way over to the bed. She sat on the edge of it, stroking her fingers in the girl's tangled purple hair.
