Friday--9/14/07
Who: Gabby and Nox
What: Explaining current limitations in the world of athletic classes
Where: Nox's office
When: Friday, after lunch
The nurse had finally and begrudgingly released Gabby on her own recognizance with the stipulations that she returned every morning to have her wounds and bandages checked until told otherwise. Rules like that were manageable as long as she didn't have to remain confined to a bed night and day. Her first stop had been her dorm room, which definitely needed some homey touches. She'd get right to that as soon as she managed to get into her bank account. Maybe one of the professors or administrators had contacts within the government or something that could help handle a situation like that. She really had no idea.
After getting her very few belongings settled, she decided to go take care of some necessary business. Her more academically oriented classes wouldn't be a problem, but ever the avid athlete, Gabby had decided to go ahead and register for several phys ed courses and felt like speaking to the professors about her temporary limitations might be a good idea. It was part of her personality as a student to always be polite and approach professors about any possible conflicts or problems before the course actually began. Call her a teacher's pet, but she'd always prided herself on being a good student.
Her left arm was in a sling to support the shot-up shoulder, and she braced the weight of her injured right leg on a crutch tucked beneath her right arm. It didn't leave a lot of leeway to carry around papers or any sort, but she really hoped she'd be able to at least limp reliably to class without a crutch soon enough that she wouldn't have to worry about it. For now, though, she memorized the office number and the most direct parth to Professor Alekos and set off across the campus.
Huh. It was bigger than she expected. By the time she made it to the professor's office, her arm was throbbing and she was pretty sure one of the stitches in her leg might have come a little bit loose. Not enough to bleed through a bandage, but enough that the nurse would probably have a few stern words with her the next morning. Sighing, she knocked on the office door, hoping that he was there and she hadn't just hobbled across the campus for nothing.
