Sunday 12/9/07
Who: Calvin (and Sydni)
When: Around 11PM/Midnight
Where: Sydni's ritual grounds in the forest
What: Calvin finds Sydni in bad shape after she's attacked by Theo
Warning: Blood
Mikhail's call that evening had been cryptic at best, but Calvin was not going to stop looking for Sydni until he, Charlie, Mikhail, or one of the other men on security found her. He head had been pounding all day and he assumed it was just a headache, nothing more than that. But after the call had come in his headache almost felt worse, moments before Mikhail had even called his head felt like a migraine. Still, emergencies were more important than an aching head that would pass. So Calvin suited up for the cold weather in his jacket, hat, and gloves, and started to run through the snow.
In his mind he felt like he could almost see Sydni, or someone, laying out in the snow. It was strange and bizarre and, like the headache, he thought nothing of it. He merely ran toward the woods. When he saw footprints in the snow he followed them, hoping with luck they were hers and not another's. It was cold out. He shivered in his jacket despite the fact that he was hot from running. Wind brushed his face and once in a while tree branches clawed at him when he was not careful enough to move around the twigs or move them with his mind. His headache would not allow that and, if that creepy little thought in the back of his mind, an unconscious sort of thought, were true, he'd need to save what strength he had left.
White snow was turned red as he moved deeper in to the forest and he followed the blood, moving faster with fear. "Don't be Sydni's," he hissed into the winter air, breath turning a cloud of gray and rising into the sky. "Don't...Holy shit." The scene he found as he followed the blood nearly stopped his heart. Laying in a heap on the ground was Sydni, tossed there like a rag doll. The blood was hers, she was bleeding from wounds and a mark on her neck made him gasp and sigh all at once. Damn it. Ripping off his glove, Calvin checked the werewolf's pulse at the wrist. He double checked the pulse at her jugular before going to lift her. On second though, he decided to pick Sydni up with his telekinesis. He didn't want to hurt her any more than she already was.
"Charlie" he shouted into his phone after dialing. "I found Sydni. We're on the way to the infirmary. Meet us there. She's wounded and bleeding. Attacked."
Calvin moved as fast as he possibly could, running through the snow with long jumping strides as Sydni moved fluidly in front of him, his hands gently under her back and legs to guide her further. This was horrible, but she was alive--if just barely. With fortune, she'd be fine. Calling Mikhail as well, relaying the same information, Calvin delivered Sydni to the nurse wing where she was taken care of. Calvin had nothing to say throughout the night as he sat outside, mulling between his headache and what he felt back there. A sense of de ja vu...It was weird.
