There was a part of Anne that hoped Richard was able to see through her, see through the act she put on for the court in order to keep her position. She really was not the vapid princess everyone believed her to be. She had her petty moments, but she didn't want people to see her as a threat, a woman in her own right, and someone who might harm her father. In short, she didn't want to be seen as Thomas Boleyn's daughter anymore.
"I'm not who you think I am, Richard," she finally said softly, in a hushed tone.
