"Human?" Gage did not mean to come off as flippant, but there it was and he had no interest in apologizing for stating the truth. "Nobody is perfect. Even wolves are allowed weaknesses."
He rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck. Gage didn't expect her to come at him once more, but he wanted to be ready just in case she did. She might have been faster than he was, but he won when it came to sheer mass. If he could get a good hold on her he could take her down and prevent her from starting another brawl.
"Isn't a pack supposed to help? When one is hurt, all are hurt?" Either her pack didn't help those in pain. Or she didn't trust her pack to help her. Gage wasn't sure which option might be worse.
