The bite of the handcuffs had left her wrists bruised, again. This was becoming habit, but unlike the first she'd felt the shame of being carried off by an Alliance patrol, Dalia was a lot less impressionable now. A lot less fragile, too, which helped clear her mind of shame and fear. The Alliance certainly spared no punches on Independent scum--although their crimes were a little less heinous than those of terrorists from backwater moons. They pushed and prodded with electric batons and harsh words, but it was nothing unexpected. They must've been high on victory rum from the news that the War was over to get truly creative.
Bitterness was a drug that kept her sane. Or so she figured, head hitting the wall with a dull sound. They'd brought a water bucket in and a chair, only one of which was meant for her. In a moment, they'd come in with guns and full uniforms, ready to get whatever information they could out of her. If she was lucky, they'd be looking for her comrades and false information would buy her a reprieve. If she wasn't, they'd be looking to find out how the hell one so-called terrorist managed to be in prison and caught up in the war all at the same time.
The door opened with a groan of metal upon metal, too jarring to befit an Alliance cruiser. The ship must've been commandeered for the War. Scarcity hurt everyone, to some extent. Mostly, it had hurt the boys dying in trenches in Serenity Valley, but Dalia knew nothing of that. She chose not to.
Three men walked in, two of them armed. She took quick stock of their weapons--automatic rifles, standard issue--before they could grab her by the elbows and force her to her knees.
"Here's how this is going to work," the third man grunted, sitting down leisurely. Not drunk, no, but not looking to strike a deal either. It didn't bode exactly well for her. "You give us the names and whereabouts of the six criminals you helped escape from an Alliance prison and you will live to face a war tribunal for your crimes during the war."
Dalia's nails curled into the palms, digging hard. "Ni qu si!" It earned her a hard shove, water in her mouth before she could prepare herself. They always knew how to woo a girl.
