Who: Briar and Simon
What: A casual conversation, first meeting
When: December 20 1924
Where: The Ceddon’s Bounty
Rating: TBD
Status: In progress
It was her first month at the Bounty still, but Briar liked to think she had already gotten the hang of things. The name she went by was Bree, primarily, other than when people got drunk and kept doing that thing drunk people did where they kept introducing themselves to her. Then she ran through her whole arsenal, but they never remembered anyway.
The name she had given to the owners when she applied for the job was Bree Maeve, which was partially factual. Maeve was her real middle name, something she was fairly sure was her birth mother being spiteful towards her father even when her mind was fuzzy with drugs from having a baby. Hard to say though since they had never met.
Thus far she had been very good at not stealing anything, no pockets or things in stores. It helped that most of Glynn had nothing especially shiny, she even stayed away from the Tea shop and Jazz Parlour where she would be too tempted to resist (she knew herself well enough for that, at least). Old habits died hard though, and she always looked at each new patron who walked in with the subdued assessment of someone scoping out potential marks or threats.
(and a little judgement as well, the upper class influence was still there, as much as she denied it)
It was a slow night so far, only one person at the bar proper and a few low key tables filled with a few people more focused on relaxing than getting drunk and being needy. So she took a moment at the bar to clean up and sort out glasses and other needed supplies, assuming the one guy there wouldn’t mind her presence.
