Calvin, for his part, absolutely did notice the satisfied little flick of the cat's tail, and he bit the inside of his cheek hard when the master affectionally called the cat a fearsome huntress, dabbing the handkerchief around his nose for a little longer than was necessary to give him a few extra seconds to be sure that his expression was appropriately neutral before removing it.
"An excellent idea," he agreed. Yes, tying that damn thing up was good of a solution as anything, especially since the master certainly wouldn't allow the murderous little creature to be muzzled. "I'm sure we could find ore create the appropriate hardware. That way, she could have her cake and eat it. Or... not eat it, as it were. At least when it comes to the birds."
