Her steps faltered for just a moment as she noticed Beau standing in the door, having what looked like a good and proper cuddle with Chouette. On the one hand – she wasn’t entirely sure the fearsome feline quite deserved to be so pampered. But on the other, it was nice to see him on the cusp of the outdoors, looking passably content.
