Nila forced herself to relax some. It never did her any good to be so constantly on guard that it caused her tension in her shoulders. She made a point of getting more comfortable, of sipping at her ale, and of trying to be more conversational. "Well Madoc, pleasure to meet you, and I apologize if my answers seem short and a bit roundabout. I've learned quickly that sharing too much information too fast often comes back to bite one squarely in the ass. If you're lucky." She added that with a quirk or her lips that was supposed to resemble a smile.
"But considering how we're both hedging around a normal conversation, I'd wager you're a bit careful with your own information as well. At least neither of us will have to worry much then about revealing too much if we're both used to dancing around the details, am I correct?" Nila was not one to beat around the bush. She wasn't usually extremely skilled at reading people, but even she could notice Madoc was asking the same sort of questions and giving the same sort of answers she herself would. That alone let her relax just a bit.
