Hiram was not prepared for dealing with Portia blushing. She looked so pretty when she did and it was enough to make whatever moisture that there had been in his mouth just completely evaporate.
"No, no, not at all." he babbled out as he looked around his compartment. "Nothing... to interrupt" he added as now he was acutely aware that he was alone in a train compartment with Portia Parkinson and this was not going to do his heart rate any favors.
"Stay!" he immediately said when she suggested she leave, and he hoped that it did not sound too desperate. "You're not interrupting, honest."
