Who: Jake Webb and Elena Christopoulos What: Jake has an agenda, and Elena's along for the ride When: Tuesday night, February 22 2011 Where: A museum in San Francisco, CA Warnings: TBD?
Jake was already in a pissy mood that day and by the time he actually left, he was ready to kill something. Not actually out of the ordinary for someone like Jake but today especially, his step-sister had been working his last nerve. Still, he played playing dumb better than anybody just like he played everything else. He wasn't dumb, or deaf, no matter what Alicia thought, but he couldn't be bothered. He had other things to do, and the unexpected conversation with Elena provoked an easy solution. He needed an alibi in case things went sour after tonight and she was as nice of an alibi as they came. Nice, honest, people trusted her. He wouldn't be asking Julian to come with him tonight, and yes, Elena would do nicely. Besides, Leo had asked him to keep an eye on her. He wasn't usually the obedient type, but since this benefited him as well, he'd make an exception. Just this once.
It helped that she seemed all too eager to find the good in him. If there even was any. Jake sincerely doubted it.
After they wrapped up their conversation on the boards Jake immediately threw on his hoodie and walked out the door, aiming to get to their destination ahead of Elena so he'd be there waiting for her. She'd see it as a nice gesture, when really he was just there to stake out the place before she got there. It was past visiting hours, after all. By the time he heard footsteps and saw the small, blond figure of Elena Christopoulos, he was leaning casually against a nearby telephone pole with a cigarette between his teeth, the black hoodie over his head acting as a camouflage so that he was barely visible to anyone other then the girl walking directly towards him.
