Who: Faith Anderson and Gabriel Coeus
What: Gabe makes a fantastic getaway driver.
When: Backdated to Wednesday, immediately after this.
Where: The SSV Normandy.
She'd done what she'd come here to do, and now her ride was waiting. She didn't need to stick around to see what would happen next. What happened next wasn't her problem, she was just doing a job. If she'd learned anything from Bourne's career as a (admittedly mostly fake) assassin, it was to clear the scene of the crime and never look back. It was easier to take credit when you were well out of range of retaliation.
As getaways went, this was about as good as it got. Gabriel's ship was parked in a field just outside town, the advanced cloaking devices hiding it from view. She should have made friends with someone from a bit of science fiction long before this. Climbing aboard she was in a disgustingly cheerful mood, which with her was rather disturbing, all things considered.
On the way here she'd been more subdued, planning and letting her headmate take charge. She'd also been more in awe of the ship itself than she ever would have admitted. The gorgeous starmap alone could have held her attention for days. Now she didn't seem to notice any of that. Coming into the main deck she was striding like someone who owned the world. She nodded to Gabe, trying to keep a straight face and not to grin like an idiot. "Done and done. Take us to lightspeed, captain!"
