Who: Zane Cobriana and Danica Shardae
What: Danica and Zane have some real alone time together since Kendra came to join the Cirque
When: Wednesday evening, November 24 2010
Where: Wherever the Cirque has been parked this week
Warnings: Probably none?
It had been a strange week for many, but for Danica, it had been one of the best weeks she'd had since she'd come into awareness as a reincarnate. As much as she didn't mind Kendra, and as happy as they both had been since they'd found Ben and Zane and things had fallen into place with the four of them, Danica was grateful for the time alone with her husband. It was enough that she was able to completely ignore everything else around her, all her attention was focused on Zane and Salem. Though the fact that there were others in the Cirque who were having a more difficult time with this transition hadn't completely escaped her notice. Some people had mysteriously disappeared over night, while others hung around and were noticeably different because of the personality change in their reincarnate. Nothing overly alarming, but it wasn't what Kendra and Danica had gotten used to living here for the short time that they had.
That evening most of the remaining members of the Cirque had retired to their trailers for the night. Some had started a campfire, a favored past time that was normally used as a stress reliever and ice breaker for the group. People had lingered, but after a couple hours it was just Danica and Zane occupying the fire pit as the last of the stragglers took their leave. Salem was asleep inside their trailer just a few feet away, having been put down for bed some time before the campfire had started. As far as they were concerned, the rest of the night was theirs.
With a small smile Danica glided back over to where Zane was sitting on the ground, having just finished teaching one of the younger members of the Cirque a few dance steps that she'd learned during her time in Sha'Mehay, before they'd taken their leave of the campfire as well. She plopped down onto the ground in front of him, wriggling into his arms and settling against his chest. With a small contented sigh, she had to wonder how much longer they'd be allowed to live like this. Danica worried about Kendra, having no clue whatsoever where she'd gone, but she had faith that the littler hawk would come back given some time. "It's quiet again tonight. I honestly don't know if I should be worried or not that I'm actually concerned we'll never see them again."
