Who: Camelot members and their approved guests What: Halloween party in a (temporarily) haunted castle, what could be better? When: Sunday night, October 31 2010 Where: Camelot castle in Glastonbury, England Warnings: Errr. Possibly a lot, probably none? Who knows.
With Scott's help Briar had been able to throw together a party for an entire castle in less then twenty-four hours, a new record if she did say so herself. It was nice to have the distraction, keeping herself busy with party favors, decorations and everything else that went into throwing this sort of event allowed her to take her mind completely off the actual reason for her being here. As much as she tried to make light of it, she'd never be more grateful for anyone then she was for Charlotte. Even if they were overreacting, she was glad Charlotte had talked her into coming to stay here. And Camelot Castle? Was quite the place to be, especially tonight.
The entire castle had been turned upside down in the last twenty-four hours, after Scott had talked Daniel into allowing it Scott and Briar had gone around assigning anyone and everyone to different tasks. By sundown everything was ready. The Main Hall had been converted into the designated party area, complete with festive decorations, tables full of food, a sound system in the corner, a section of the floor that Briar assigned the dancing area. Most of the surrounding corridors were bathed in a dim lighting, off set by the candles strategically placed along the walls, lighting the path of those who strayed from the main party room. The magics department had outdone themselves with their own little touches to the decorations. Moving paintings and ghost-like holograms could be seen at almost every turn and if Briar hadn't been so excited and pleased by it all, she might have actually been a little spooked. Yes, this was going to be a good night.
Normally on Halloween she'd be going for a much more risque look, but something about Camelot had inspired Briar to go medieval for the night, so about forty minutes after the party had officially started she could be seen swishing down from her temporary room in an elegant green dress, immediately seeking out Scott and Charlotte in the Main Hall. Of course, the first thing she actually zeroed in on was the punch bowl, which of course she and Scott had spiked only an hour before. "Hmm? What was that? Do I smell something?" She looked at the server behind the table in mock confusion. "I can't imagine what you might be smelling, all I smell is fruit punch." She flashed the man a devilish smile and backed away with a drink in hand, on the search for her friends.
