Who: Betty Peabody and Rick Martinez What: Rick and Betty have an awkward chat that ends in classic Robin and Allan fistacuffs... just kidding! About the last part, anyway, I know ya'll are disappointed. When: Backdated to Tuesday night, June 1st 2010 Where: Rick and Dallas' house in Los Angeles, CA Warnings: Hmm. Some healthy mixture of the appropriate Betty and Rick warning labels?
Betty had been surprised when Rick had asked her to come see him on a night when Dallas was at work. Not that they never hung out without Dallas... Actually, they never hung out without Dallas but that's not the point, he'd asked specifically to talk to her about something and Betty couldn't help thinking that this was another case of her being in trouble for something she couldn't even remember doing. ... And that happened far too often for her own good.
Whatever he had to talk to her about, she had to talk to him about some things too. Namely, the current situation with Leon. It was clear to Betty what had happened back in Las Vegas, a neighbor had been kind enough to give her the behind the scenes details of the death and she'd very nearly fainted in the hallway. Teeth missing, a vigil... that was Ben's M.O. Ever since last weekend Betty had been feeling sick to her stomach about it. As much as she cared about Leon and wanted to believe that it wasn't him, that it was his head mate... she was starting to realize she couldn't afford to live in that sort of fantasy world anymore, and neither could her friends.
Her friends didn't deserve to pay any kind of price for her mistakes, so she'd made up her mind as soon as she'd gotten back from Las Vegas that she needed to tell someone about it. She wasn't quite ready to unload on Phin, and it made sense to talk to Rick since he was a cop so... With a little bit of liquid courage she made her way over to Dallas and Rick's place Tuesday night to have a heart to heart. Or... whatever the hell Robin and Allan had when they got together.
"Knock, knock!" She called out, rapping on the door once and then waiting.
