There was no way in hell she was resisting the call to drink. It had issued from the heavens, in the sultry sounds of their own deputy director's voice, compelling all of those that were working to hard to file out of their offices to have a good time. Who the fuck was going to pass that up? Certainly not she. Since she had an ironclad will and infinite patience when it came to pestering, she managed to convince her boss to go too. Which lessened the guilt of bailing mid-report. If Roman was there too, no one could complain. Besides, the guy needed to get out more, and why not get out with all their friends and co-workers on this most prestigious of Wednesdays?
They'd gotten quite a turn out. A small crowd of them, including the big boss himself, had shuffled out of the HQ and down to Eddie's. The bartender didn't look very happy to see all of them, but then he never looked happy about anything. He was going to do good business, though. Nobody here, with one exception, was shy about drinking. Hell, Mr. Doyle was already there, waving his pint at them companionably and inviting them to have a seat. Right away, the booze started flowing, people buying rounds of shots and pitchers of brew and passing them around with a gusto. Now this was how the cool kids partied during the middle of the week.
Leigh found herself sitting across the table from said Mr. Doyle. Considering he'd gotten a head start on all of them, she figured he'd be falling out of his chair any second now. He seemed pretty steady though. Unlike herself, who had gotten a little overzealous with the shot drinking. A slightly enhanced metabolism could only carry her so far, and she was definitely feeling nice a frisky. And evil. Snorting out a laugh at her incredibly clever idea, she waved over the bartender before leaning over to peer up at Thomas. "We should play...quarters. Wanna play quarters?"
