Who: Clarisse Worthington and Megan Barnett What: Er, headmistress/student talk that also awkwardly doubles as semi-mother/daughter talk? When: Sunday evening Where: Clarisse's office
To see Megan randomly popping up on the network was surprising enough, but when she had divulged the fact that she was sharing a head with Sailor Moon, Clarisse's world had gone spinning off its axis. In retrospect, perhaps she shouldn't have been as shocked as she was. Miss Barnett, after all, did share quite a few characteristics with her counterpart: clumsiness, an astonishing degree of energy, flightiness and a tendency to let her mouth get her into trouble. But at the same time Clarisse was so used to being the sole reincarnate from the Sailor Moon fandom that she had long since resigned herself to the fact that none of the others, let alone Serena, would ever show up. Now everything had changed.
Glancing at the clock, she continued to restlessly pace the length of her office, absently fingering the locket that held the Silver Crystal. Megan would be coming soon, or at least she should be if she wasn't too freaked out to comply with the request. It wasn't as if Clarisse would be able to blame her if that turned out to be the case-it wasn't exactly a normal occurrence to find out that the headmistress of your school had been your mother in a previous life-and she certainly wouldn't punish her on account of it. It was an adjustment for her as well, to be honest, but it was a fact that needed to be confronted.
Serenity was being oddly quiet in response to all of this, and Clarisse realized that despite her obvious concern over the well-being of her daughter, she didn't want to step on any toes. They'd have to work through this together, all four of them, to come to an understanding. Particularly because Megan had so much to learn.
At the sound of a knock on the door, she was roused from her thoughts, her blue-eyed gaze flickering over in that direction. Clearing her throat delicately, she released the locket and called, "Come in," as she perched on the edge of her desk.
