Who: Sofia and Rose Campbell When: Friday, September 23 Where: Little Hangleton What: Rose finds her sister. Problems come to a head. Rating:Uhh. Assume violence, possibly language. R for character death?
Sofia hadn't been in control of herself for almost a month. Once she'd given in, her life had been all about him - his wants, his needs. They'd done horrifying things - tracking down old allies, bullying people into becoming new ones. Spreading fear. Quietly re-asserting power. None of this had been a problem; the British wizards didn't seem real. They were characters in a book; Rose was real and, as long as Voldemort was busy overseas, Sofia's sister was safe.
She'd been stupid. Of course Rose wasn't safe. Of course she'd come looking, and of course Snape was smart enough to know where to look.
The Riddle house was abandoned. So was the caretaker's home, long-unused after its inhabitant had been killed. Voldemort had set up on the grounds. There were defenses galore, but Snape knew quite a lot about magic. Magic and how the Dark Lord operated. Voldemort didn't think his old 'servant' would be foolish enough to come. Arrogance. It had been his downfall before, and it would be once again.
Sofia was alone, lurking in a dark house. Voldemort was amusing himself by tormenting a Ministry official he'd abducted. Trapped in the back of her head, she was trying not to pay too much attention. It went easier on her when she ignored her surroundings.
