At least that meant that Nick didn't need to be subtle about it when he scrambled down from the roof. He didn't have any special tricks up his sleeve; Bucky's arm was still safely stowed away since Nick had two perfectly good ones of his own. All he had was skill and brute force, but that had always been enough to get by in the past.
"I'd do what she says," he recommended when he hit the ground with a solid thunk. "You wouldn't like her when she's pissed about you not listening. Trust me."
That was a mistake that Nick had only made once while they were dating, while he was still learning to be a decent human being, much less a decent boyfriend.
He'd brought a gun along with him, tucked into the small of his back, in case things got out of hand... but it was the last thing he planned on using when they still had this under control, which was was pretty confident he did. So Nick waded in with just his fists, adrenaline spiking and making him feel almost good about the whole thing, the company included.
