Samantha, likewise, was much better at action as opposed to sitting still. If she stayed in one place for too long, eventually, she wouldn't even be able to escape her own thoughts. And in this case, she was trying to escape those as much as she was the person next to her who was provoking most of them. It made for a tumultuous combination that at any moment could make Samantha lose her carefully crafted cool.
"Captain Obvious," she shot back testily, only briefly turning her head to flash him a look of barely contained impatience. "Are you going to sit there all night narrating to yourself or actually do something useful?"
A little harsh, maybe, but he could take it. Not that she cared whether or not she hurt his feelings. At any rate, Samantha didn't wait around to find out if her words had touched a nerve, because she was already uncoiling herself from her hideaway position and moving slowly along the roof's edge at a low crouch. Whether or not he followed was up to him.
The U-Haul parked itself and more men got out, walking around to the rear and opening up the back of it to reveal a truck packed to the brim with suspiciously unmarked containers. Yeah. Something told Samantha this wasn't someone's move-in day. All she and Nick needed was a smoking gun.
"You got the goods?" Big Guy #1 had positioned himself in front of the first group, while the second group in front of the U-Haul all looked like various shades of twitchy. "Depends, you got the money?"
A briefcase containing wads of cash was flashed in the direction of U-Haul Guys, the presumed leader of them giving a curt nod and one of his underlings opened the nearest container to show a row of what Samantha could only assume was weird alien tech. Mostly because they were glowing.
"I'm going in," Samantha spoke hastily to Nick, relieved at finally having something to do and therefore not waiting for him before fastening one end of her wire to a section of roof and making sure the other end was secure to her belt before jumping backwards off the edge and landing soundlessly on the ground in the shadows, just out of their target's sights.
Knowing Nick would make his own entrance (and also not caring, obviously), Samantha unhooked herself and moved silently along the outskirts of the clandestine meeting while the two groups argued over the best method of unloading all of the undoubtedly volatile weaponry in the truck until she was in position. "I have a suggestion," Samantha spoke up innocently, right next to one who hadn't even noticed her presence. "Why don't you just hand them all over to me and no one gets hurt?"
Not a promise she really planned on keeping, and as they reacted she shot the two closest to her full of electricity with her Widow's Bite.
